Using a UV sterilizer in a planted tank?

I have just begun a real plant tank in an aquarium that has been set up for over a year with only artificial plants. I run a uv sterilzer because of all the phosphates in my tap water that keep causing algae blooms. Will the uv sterilizer take out all the fertilizer (liquid flourish) from the water? I'm thinking of using the substrate tablet fertilizer. Thoughts? Thank you!

Is there any UV sterilizer that would be ok to use in a 6 gallon fluval edge planted aquarium?

The biggest obstacle with finding a UV for an aquarium this small is that most will take up the majority of the aquarium space. Another issue will be flow rate needed. Item #71301, Oceanic Mini Sterilizer, which comes with an universal adapter, can be used in other small aquariums, BUT it requires a pump that has a flow rate of 100-200 gph, so there would be SIGNIFICANT water movement in that small of an aquarium.

UV STERILIZER PURCHASE.

I have a 150 gal tank 24x24x36" housing a RES and 12 goldfish. I'd like to purchase a UV sterilizer to help with bouts of green water. Because I know nothing about a sterilizer, can you please provide some assistance? Just about any information would help. THANK YOU
