What lighting upgrade do you suggest?

180 gal fish only marine tank. Lid has area for bulbs. Currently using Coralife Easy double ballast kit. I'm looking for a better system without braking my budget

Thank you for your question. The type of lighting and filters you will need should be based on personal preference. There are a variety of light fixtures (compact fluorescent, T5, metal halide, LED) and filters (power, canister, wet/dry) available. How much light you need will vary greatly on the type of lighting and coral you want in your aquarium. In terms of filtration, you will need to filter your water 3-5 times per hour. You will need a heater and to add aeration to your aquarium with the use of air pumps or power heads. Protein skimmers are excellent to have in reef aquariums, especially if you intend on having a large amount of coral in your aquarium. ! have an 125-135 g aquarium that iam trying to do a planted aquarium with and what would be the best fixture to buy that does not put out alot of he

I have an 125-135 gallon aquarium with the dimensions of 72.5 long by 18.5 deep by 23.3 h and i would like to keep plants whats the best fixture for this setup that does not generate a lot of heat and also the fixtures came with 2 36' fixtures that houses a 20 watt bulb so thats 40 watts total I was wondering if i just kept the light fixtures that came with the aquarium would i be able to keep anubias, java fern ,and java mosses to start out i do not want to have to add chemicals or co2 to the aquarium to keep ant plants as i want it be be low tech
