i bought an activated carbon pouch to back up my bio wheel filtration system..when i moved the pouch the water turned black,i guess the carbon leaked

Will it kill my fish? Or will it clear up?

Thank you for your question. We apologize that some of the carbon leaked from your media bag. Your filter should clear this up fairly quickly, however you can also expedite the matter with a water change. Unless the leak is very excessive, there should be no lasting ill effects on your fish. We would also recommend monitoring them to make sure that they are eating, and otherwise acting normally. jpk

Wate/Cloudy Tank Problem!

I have spent countless hours and over $150 in replacing the media to my 65 gallon tank and NO MATTER what I try, the water is cloudy within a day or two. BTW ALL the fish are in another tank while I am cleaning out this one. I replaced all the media, the tubing for the filter system, cleaned all the stuff inside the tank, you name it I prob did it twice! I did not use any chemicals or soaps while cleaning all the stuff inside an I used water condtioner with the new water. For over a year this tanks' water look like water in Aruba now with no fish in it and everything replaced it looks cloudy. Someone said i might not have the filters in the right order, someone else said replace the rocks, they are probably bad... can ANYONE please help? Oh yea, I did about a 95% water change as well. Please help!
