my yorkie has been urinating more and has a little blood toward the end could that be inconinence?

Answer:

It could be an infection because of the blood you need to take her/him to the vet ASAP and find the cause as the blood portion is not normal and needs attention right away.

This is pretty common some dogs get excited and pee called excitment incontinence. I am not sure you can stop this if she only does it when excited and no other time it may be just something you put up with but if it is a huge issue for you you could try a female wrap that looks like a diaper with the tail area cut out so she can still poo. maybe just use it when you know comapny is coming over. It may be a good idea to take her to see a vet to first rule out if she has any medical condition that may be causing this.

There are incontinence pants for little girl dogs with washable liners, they work very well for incontinence or menstruation of the female dog.

6-yr old Yorkie, breeding all her life, piddles on all over the floor.

it's not that she can't go outside. I take her out. She'll come in and piddle on the floor. It's a small amount, but it is several times a day. I haven't had a chance to have her spayed yet since I've only had her a month. is it excitement perhaps? What do I do?

First have her see a Vet to determine if she has any health issues that would cause this then if not you can try a wrap made for females it looks like a diaper almost but there is a cut out for her tail and allows her to still poo. You can put a feminine pad or roll up some papertowels and make a pad then change as needed but take it off and put her outside about every 2 hours except overnight as well. This soultion is just to keep her from having accidents around the house and you having to clean up several pees. It is easier to change a pad once every few hours.

My Yorkie is 14 years old and urinates on the floor constantly. Vet said he was drinking too much water. I have restricted the water as instructed,

but he is still doing it. Is there any medication that I can use?

I also have a Yorkie and if I have to be gone all day I use the male wrap with a woman's incontience pad inserted, he is comfortable and I don't have to rush home to let him out. I get the next size larger to compensate for the volume of the pad and it works great. I also use it at night, he is comfortable and I get a good nights sleep. He wiggles when I put it on at night because he knows it's bedtime. No medication and no scolding. Definately a win, win situation.

Thank you for your question. We cannot recommend a medication for your dog as that is something that only your veterinarian can do because each dog is different. It could be a behavioral issue which your veterinarian should be able to help you address through training, but if it isn't you could try laying down piddle pads to see if you could at least contain the place that your dog is going to the bathroom in the house.
