Answer:

Once canned food is opened, it should be refrigerated. I would not use in a 5 day feeder.

I would not recommend it. Food would get stale, and I'm not sure if it would stay in the feeder. All the liquid in the food would drain down first, and also the food could go bad.

would you eat 5 day old wet food? wet food needs refrigeration if not used after opening, dry food does not. save the vet bill and put dry food only in the feeder . wet cat food belongs in a bowl , picked up after they finish or within a few hours. trust me they know when its been to long to eat it, they weren't branded finicky without good cause!

I ahve left wet food in the one that operates on a 9 volt battery. It works well for about 2 days then the food goes bad and becomes moldy. I looking for a 5 day feeder that might plug in to keep food cold for all the days. Hope this helps.

Drinkwell 360, is there a replacement motor?

I have two drinkwell 360 cat fountains and use botteled water( HB water is vile ) in them, so I don't use the filters. The water flow has slowed to a very small trickle. Please advise.

Have you cleaned out the motor? Even with bottled water, grime can build up inside the actual motor, it's good to take it apart regularly and clean it. If left uncleaned the motor can clog and slow the water flow. There should be instructions in your users manual on how to disassemble and reassemble your motor for cleaning.

Just because you use bottled water doesn't mean you can't use the filters! That's part of the dispenser makeup. It's like trying to run a car without a fuel filter because you added some liquid additive you saw at the gas station that said it improved our gas mileage! The type of water won't filter out all the dirt and hair floating around that will eventually clog the motor and slow the flow of water. I ,too, use bottled water because after years of having fountains I was getting a crusty mineral build up on the sides and the bottled water solved that problem. Please, please follow the directions after thoroughly cleaning your fountain and put in a filter and you'll find it will work just fine! But all those little pieces by the part that determines the flow have come off to clean. They have a great 3 brush cleaning kit, plus use a toothpick if necessary. Good Luck!!

I, too, use bottled water, but also use the filters. My filters become soiled within 4-5 weeks due to the cat spit, pieces of cat food they drop in, dirt, etc. My filter usually catches this, but when it gets too dirty, can't do it's job. I strongly suggest you use the filters. It's not just for the water, but for the other debris that get in. I would take them apart, soak them in a vinegar solution, and use pipecleaners to clean out the tunnels. I have had mine for 4 1/2 years and just ordered a new one because my pump finally is wearing out, so at this time, my water flow is also a very small trickle. Don't know how long you have had yours, but imagine that without the filter, it could have gotten debris inside the pump that blocks the flow. I'd try that, and if it doesn't work, would re-purchase and use the filters. Sorry, but sometimes going cheap isn't the cheapest way to go. Been there, done that!

Yes, I've bought the replacement filters a couple of times. The product number for a pack of 3 is 9B-8902. I've had my Drinkwell fountain for years &the cats absolutely LOVE it!
