Answer:

Try two things, get catnip spray and spray the scratchers where you want them to scratch. And get also "Don't Scratch spray" and spray that on the area you do not want them to scratch on. Also, pick them up gently and show them with there paws no joke what to scratch on. My cats tend to scratch where I come in like at the door or where I tend to sit where is good to put the scratchers. Good luck. Cathy,

Is there a product that prevents cats from scratching wooden furniture?

We have cat scrathers galore, but he seems to prefer the legs of our kitchen table chairs. Is there a spray or something that acts as a deterrent to this?
