We have a 10 yr. old goffin, Peaches. She is a very active bird and loves to shred things. We get her the large whiskers...and she has a field day with pinata's. She loves the small ones, they make good foot toys, the larger ones are fine too, as long as they aren't bigger then her. She loves pistachio's and pine nuts, thawed frozen corn is also one of her favorites. They will eat just about anything that you eat for a snack, but remember, if it's junk food for you, it is for them also. As far as the dog goes, they will get along, but be careful, they have a very powerful bite, I have a doxie and a chi, also two blue and golds...they have respect for the birds... Good Luck, goffins are very intelligent and can be taught a lot of tricks....
