My senegal loves most anything we eat. We DO NOT GIVE him chocolate (or any sweets), or avocado (some birds can't digest it) or any 'junk food'. His name is Rafiki and his favorites are: kidney beans (canned), melons (especially cantaloupe), tomatoes, carrots, celery topsand ribs, kale ribs, chile peppers, whole wheat breat crust, pancakes (yes, I make them about the size of a nickel for him when I make them for us!) spaghetti (preferably with sauce!), bell pepper seed cores, apple cores or slices, grapes (cut in half), oranges (cut in half and hung on a skewer), raw zucchini, cooked sweet potatoes (a special favorite and super healthy), brown rice (cooked), cucumber, fat green beans, corn on the cob (hung on a skewer) and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (a bite for me, a bite for him!). I never feed a seed diet to any of my parrots since it's like candy to them. Instead I feed a pellet or extruded diet as a staple.
