There can be some problems with bugs in different types of seed. No matter how well cleaned the seeds are, it is the nature of seed to harbor some bugs. They remain dormant most of the time and we are unaware of their presence. They do not harm your bird. However, there are extra steps you can take to help prevent them from becoming a problem. One is to keep your seed in an air tight container. Keep this container in a cool area. We do not store our seed products on our top shelves in our warehouse for this reason.
