When your Conure lays an egg, as long as it is not broken or cracked, it may be best to leave it where it is for about a week and then, after they lose interest in it, remove it. You may want to also leave the artificial egg with her until she loses interest in it. If you remove the
egg(s) too soon they may want to lay more eggs to fulfill the need to make a complete clutch (3-7 for a Nanday). It would be better to discourage egg laying, as it can drain your bird's body of calcium since it takes a lot out of the hen to produce an egg and leave the hen in a compromised and weakened state.
