product works great got light to put on my 70 gallon tank, and works well, had it for about a month, and still working well. I was able to take it out of the box, and use it right away, great item. Got it in oak and looks great on the tank. August 11, 2012

Loud buzzing coming from light strip

Hi I have a 24" perfecto light strip in use with an 18" fluorescent bulb placed on an old perfecto plastic hood on an 20 gallon high fish tank. Recently whenever I turn on the light, a buzzing noise is heard for whenever the light is on but the light comes on quick and without any troubles. I am not sure if this is a wiring or lightbulb problem or if the strip light makes noise anyway. Thank you.

I noticed that buzzing too. I believe the wiring schematics they use are from the early days when florescent was new. I think we have to live with it even though it will drive ya nuts!

Does this come with lighting or is that separate? I see that the All-Glass brand comes with a 8,000K bulb for the same price.

Thank you for your question. These fixtures do come with bulbs; the bulbs will be a 5200 K. The wattage will depend on which fixture you will purchase.
