Supreme Hy-Drive Aquarium Pumps Model 1600
Works great but not for long
Similar to another reviewer. Lasted 7 months, then froze. Impeller is so corroded that I can't remove it without damaging the pump by prying. Surmising that the stainless rotor was a poor choice of materials - especially poor in saltwater applications.
Just sent Danner a warrantee claim and I’m waiting on their instructions. Maybe they have it figured out now? It pumps a lot of water and is very quiet when it works!.

ok. but not great
Have wfp2100 model. This model is a little to strong for my 65 gallon tank. Should have used 1600 model instead. Runs hot, raised tank from 76 to 80 F degrees. Had to take apart and clean out rust to get working after 1 year of use. Seal leaks and had to glue to fix. Very Quiet.

Noisy and unreliable
I bought this to pump water from my basement sump up 15' to my 300g display tank. The flow was as good as advertised, but the noise from the pump was so loud in the room above that the room became unusable. After three months of use, the flow slowed until it stopped altogether. I am very disappointed with this pump.

Pump is not Suitable for Marine Tanks
Similar to other posts here, my Supreme Hy-Drive (model 2600) has experienced rotor failure when the rotor rusted, expanded, and seized. I've actually had 2 in a row fail at almost exactly a year of service.
Also, drsfostersmith.com only handles the warranty for 60 days; after that you have to go direct to Danner and that is almost useless. The first time my pump failed I was blamed, ("Are you cleaning it?"). The second time (right now) I sent an email to Danner support and have heard nothing for a week.
This pump should not be marketed for marine tanks, period.
Side Note - even the manufacturer instructions for cleaning are wrong. They say only use water while Danner told me directly to soak rotor in vinegar overnight.
