Automatic Feeder Programmable Feeder
I have electric dispensers that work well, but they reset after power outages. Either I had to put it on an uninterruptible power source or buy a battery operated dispenser. I bought this Eheim, set it up and it works flawlessly. I can dispense very small amounts of food more frequently so there is no waste and less pollution. The unit doesn't use much juice, so the first set of batteries are still powering the first unit after four months.
Two recommended improvements: bigger hoppers and bigger print on the instructions. Programming it isn't intuitive, and that 2-point font is really hard to read.

I'm happy with it!
The unit does what it claims to do. I would buy it again, and recommend it to others.
I found the User manual a little hard to follow until I got used to the layout, but in the end it did give me enough info to figure everything out.
The unit does NOT handle large flakes well. They get bound up in the augers, and the food dosage is extremely variable when that happens. But if I crumble up the flakes so none of them is much more than a 1/4" diameter, it works fine.
I would wish that the food drop was more 'funneled'. Most of it drops straight down, but 5-10% seems to spray/fly out from the feeder as much as 30 degrees. Perhaps that is just a function of how far it has to fall, and some flakier foods maybe 'flutter' out there.

We have used this feeder for medium sized pellet food on our 200 gallon African tank here at the office for abput 4 months now. It takes a little bit of tweeking to get the right feed amount and the instructions leave plenty to be desired in the conversion to english. But it feeds on time, every time and the fish are very aware of the time its going to feed (swimming around like a bunch of sharks waiting for the meat to drop, and when it dose, the frenzy is on!).
This feeder has not jammed, got plugged up and the design keeps the splashes out of the food.
If it were perfect, it would have better, clearer instructions and a larger hopper (probably kept small to keep the food fresh/dry) -- it lasts almost a week with all of our fish, feeding two turns per hopper per day).
I would buy again (and did for home) and would recomend to a friend
