I tried both the Reef Salt and the Marine Salt. Since my tank is primarily fish, with few invertebrates, I am now using the Marine Salt. Both dissolved quickly into a clear solution. My fish are happy in the Seachem saltwater, so I'm happy.

by ArizonaReefkeeper Always had consistant, excellent results
I have used SeaChem Reef salt mix for at least the last 10 years in my 180G mature reef tank. The 200G box comes with 4 sealed bags inside... so no need to worry about unused product getting contaminated. I just saved an original salt bucket and store the remaining bags inside for additional protection.
I have been keeping saltwater reef animals for 25+ years and like the consistent quality of the SeaChem products. My tank parameters have always been predictable with this salt and the animals always respond naturally. No spikes in pH, calcium or alkalinity. I only use RO water for all my tank needs, this salt mixes up clear in a short time. I do mix it at least 30 minutes prior to use with a powerhead to 1.024-1.025 concentration.
If you are looking for a different salt to try... you won't be disappointed! And with the Drs. F&S free shipping and the quality of all SeaChem product... you can't go wrong!
Other products I use from SeaChem: Reef Advantage Calcium, Reef Buffer, Reef Builder, Matrix Carbon, Reef Magnesium as well as their test kits.

Awesome salt at an awesome price. Better than many other salts I have used including Tropic Marin. Full polyp extension and parameters remain steady.

I've used several different salts in past years, and everyone has thier favorite for varous reasons.. The reason I've settled on this salt is it is formulated for reef systems and creates a consistent solution batch after batch... I use the same amount in my mix tank everytime to get the SG I want. Dissolves quickly (although I wait 24hours to allow O2 and CO2 to stabilize anyway)...
