I can't find live daphnia at my local fish stores, and freeze-dried anything just doesn't have the nutrition that live food does, plus it just tends to float on top of the water, making a mess and most of my fish don't pick of the water's surface.
When I saw that there was frozen daphnia I was quick to buy it, and my fish love it. I have fish of varying size and nutritional needs but they all get these and love them. I know Hikari is a quality brand and the frozen food reflects that. Daphnia are good for all fish and help betta with digestive issues. Even my filter shrimp get this as it stays floating in the water column long enough for them to catch it. It is also small enough for my nanofish to enjoy as well.
I love buying from Dr. Foster and Smith because they have a selection of frozen foods that my fish stores don't and I can always save on the prices by buying in bulk and only paying for a flat frozen food fee. Unless I am in an emergency this is the only way I but frozen food.

I have a 5" roseline shake that's been bloated for a month and I tried everything. The day after I fed the daphnia the Roseline lost his huge belly and is swimming normally .
