Specially compounded broad-spectrum antibiotic provides fresh and saltwater aquarium fish relief from bacterial infections. Fritz Aquatics Mardel Maracyn contains the active ingredient erythromycin in a fast-acting powder form to deliver effective treatment and control of a number of pathogenic bacteria associated with ornamental fish disease.

Maracyn is recommended for the treatment and control of columnaris "body fungus," fin and tail rot, popeye and gill disease in freshwater (tetras, cichlids, livebearers, catfish, and goldfish) and saltwater (angelfish, clownfish, damsels and other common species) caused by Flavobacterium columnare, Haemophilus piscium, Aeromonas punctata, Aeromonas hydrophila, and Cytophaga aquatilis bacteria.

Use 1 packet per 10 gallons of water. Each packet contains 200 mg erythromycin activity. Made in USA.

Common Symptoms of Aeromonus, Flavobacterium, Haemophilus and Cytophaga infection:
Columnaris "Body Fungus": Grayish-white stringy material covering most of the body; white or gray patches.
Fin and Tail Rot: Split, ragged and deteriorating fin and/or tail.
Popeye: Protruding eyes that may be cloudy or hazy.
Gill Disease: Swollen, discolored gills, gasping for air and a decrease in activity.

NOTE: Use of hospital tank is recommended.
