Window Alert Decals

Simple, yet clever electrostatic decals prevent wild birds from colliding into your window. Decals contain a unique component that reflects ultraviolet light, which is brilliantly visible to birds, to alert them of glass without obscuring your view outdoors. Apply to home, office, and garage windows. Please specify style: Leaf measures approximately 4" x 4", Butterfly measures approximately 4-1/4" x 3-1/4", and Hummingbird measures approximately 5-1/2" x 4-5/16". 4-pack.

Instructions
NOTE: The Window Alert Decals are most effective when interspersed across the exterior surface of a clean window.

• Peel off paper backing. The same side of the decal that was against the paper liner goes against the glass.

Decal Placement
Three helpful hints when placing your decals:

1. Bird window strikes occur when birds can see through one window, across the inside of your home or office, and out through another window. Birds think they can fly through. Position decals to disrupt this line of sight.
2. Bird window strikes occur when birds see open sky reflected in your window. Reflections in certain windows or particular section of a large window occur based on sunlight and the time of day. Use decals to break up this reflection of open sky.
3. Male birds often stake out particular territory. When they see their own reflection in your window, they mistake it for an intruder and attack. This is particularly true of the Northern Cardinal. Place the decals on windows that experience this type of territorial attack.

Place Window Alert Decals:

• One every two or three-square feet across the glass (the more decals, the better).
• On the exterior side of tinted glass.
• On the interior or exterior side of clear glass (exterior placement is preferable).
• For maximum UV reflectivity, replace every 2 years.

*Restore cling of Window Alert Decals by rinsing in lukewarm water.

I have the hummingbird decals on every window now. They look like etched glass and very classy instead of looking like stickers are on the windows. We were getting birds hitting the windows every day. Now, I rarely hear the thump of a bird, and if so, they haven't hit hard enough to die. I think the decals work great for birds that looking where they are going, but the ones that are fleeing in panic and aren't paying attention seem to be the ones that still hit them. It has helped that we moved our bird feeder away from reflective windows and at least 25 feet from the house.

These decals have truely been life savers! I used to purchase window decals for every season then I would have to leave them on my windows until they faded and looked yucky, anything to keep the birds from hitting my french patio doors and bay windows. But the accumlation of all the seasonal decals looked junky overtime not to mention they blocked the clear views of my backyard. These window alert decals are great, I have had them up for a month at the height of the nesting season when I usually had many many hits and dead birds. For the month I have had them up so far, NO HITS and NO DEAD BIRDS! They are amazing, you hardly even know they are on the windows, leaving the windows with great clear views of my backyard. I will be using these from now on! What an awesome product!!!
