NovAqua+ is a unique combination of electrolytes, inorganic salts, buffering system, reducing agents (dechlorinators), synthetic polymers, vitamins, product stabilizers and herbal extracts containing polysaccharides, alkylamides, and phenolics.
Additional Benefits of Using NovAqua+
Provides multiple protective colloid coatings on the fish's body to replace or reinforce the natural slime coating that is essential to counteract injury, infection, and adverse environmental exposure.
Neutralizes chlorine and the full effect of chloramines. Neutralizes up to 3.75 ppm of chlorine (free and combined as chloramines).
Buffers tap water.
Detoxifies heavy metals by precipitating the metal ions into harmless compounds. NovAqua+ is capable of precipitating up to 1.17 ppm free-copper ions from solution. Permanently detoxifies copper and can be used to eliminate copper ion medication after treatment is complete.
Increases available electrolytes. Use with RO water to help restore electrolyte content.
Provides beneficial organic herbs and vitamins.
Enhances biological filtration in new aquariums and ponds by coating filter media with a slime coat that aids nitrifying bacteria in forming colonies.
Reduces toxicity of nitrite by blocking uptake of nitrite by the fish.
Removes iodine.
Works with all filters, aerators, and protein skimmers.
Standard Dosages
Standard doses: Use 2 drops per gallon, or 1 teaspoon (approximately 5 ml) for each 10 gallons of water, or 1 tablespoon (approximately 15 ml) per 30 gallons of water or 1 fl oz for 60 gallons. When using at the recommended dose, 16 oz of NovAqua+ will treat 960 gallons of water.
When properly stored, NovAqua+ is stable for up to 5 years in its original solution. Must not be frozen. If the product is suspected of being frozen, inspect the contents for evidence of crystals. If crystals have formed, the product should be discarded. Normally, NovAqua+ should have a clear to slightly cloudy appearance, DO NOT use if it has a milky appearance. Does not become toxic with age or freezing, but effectiveness is reduced.
Bacterial additives establish a healthy population of beneficial bacteria that efficiently break down ammonia into nitrite and then to nitrate. The use of bacterial additives is most commonly associated with the initial set up of an aquarium.
Many freshwater community fish thrive in a broad pH range between slightly acidic (6.5) to slightly alkalic (7.5). To provide their ideal water conditions, you must learn how to make adjustments to your aquarium water using pH conditioners.
