When catnip reaches a height of 4", it is ready to serve, and your cat can nibble on the grass right out of the planter. No need to cut it for him. Catnip can grow to a height of 18-36" long and spread widely if undisturbed, so it's a good idea to transplant the seedlings once they are off to a good start. This will ensure maximum use for your cat. Cats can begin nibbling when at about 4", as well.

Planting Directions:
Open the lid.
Sprinkle catnip seeds evenly over potting mix.
Lightly cover seeds with the potting mix.
Water as needed (approximately every 2 weeks) taking care not to overwater. Let the mix dry out in between waterings.
Place container in a warm, bright area, avoiding direct sunlight.
Seeds should begin germinating in approximately 7-10 days.
Once seedlings have germinated, move to direct sunlight. Seedlings require full sun for growth.
When seedlings reach a height of 1 inch, transplant outside or to a larger pot. For best results, separate seedlings. Catnip will reach a height of 18-36 inches.
Ingredients: Potting mix (aged pine bark, peat moss, perlite, vermiculite, hardwood charcoal), Plantagel (contains potassium, propenoate, propenamide, copolymer. Plantagel is a nontoxic water absorption agent), 250 mg Catnip Seed (Nepeta cataria).
