Lots of fun for the kitties This occupies our 2 young cats we recently adopted from the shelter. Even my one cat who is into everything and loses interest easily. The balls that come with this product are easy enough for both cats to remove through the holes, but any cat toy or treat will fit. To keep them interested, I vary what treats or toys I place inside. My kids even put their "hex bugs" (little electronic toy that looks like a bug) inside...boy were they fascinated! January 14, 2014

The holes are quite large. I believe your Maine Coon Cat will be happy with them -- even with his large paws.

I don't know the answer to this off-hand, but they're big enough for any of the small rubber or jingle-bell balls to fit in easily. I would imagine any cat's paws would fit inside, though some larger dog breeds might not be able to get their paws in. ;)

Not sure of the exact size, but the holes are big enough for even a large cat. I have a big cat, and he will get stand in the holes sometimes. Plenty of space.

The holes are not large enough for your Maine Coon...trust me I have a big cat..and also for some reason mine smelled so bad from the varnished finish. I returned it.

Answer:

The holes are approx 1 1/2-2". My big cat is 16 pounds, his legs are large (about 2-3" at the top) but they get a little smaller toward his paws. However, he has 6 toes on each foot so his paw is pretty big and he has no problem with the box.
