Water is always fresh and clean - no messy bowls or evaporation
Milk-style glass water bottle keeps water fresher and cleaner than standard cups. Prevents residual or airborne bacteria contamination, and all components sterilize safely in the dishwasher. Features rubber stopper and stainless steel, ball-point vacuum tube to prevent spillage and evaporation. Stainless steel, quick-release locking holder installs easily on most cages.

Preferred by breeders, these heavy-duty glass pet waterers help prevent residual or airborne bacterial contamination of your pet's water supply. They also help minimize evaporation and spilling, which helps prevent a thirsting pet while you're away. All parts of these waterers are dishwasher safe, so you can sterilize easily when needed.
How it works
These bottles have ball-point tubes, which work on vacuum lock, not valve seal. The control ball serves as a piston and releases water out of the tube when nudged inwardly. When the bottle is filled and first inverted, you must press the control ball, and let the water trickle out until the vacuum-lock develops inside the bottle, before placing it on the cage. Be sure rubber stopper is securely pressed into the bottle neck. A few drops of water may drip until the water warms to the surrounding air temperature. This is normal.
Select a convenient location and position the holder so that the tube tip will be about head high to the bird. The holder is meant to be mounted on the outside of the cage; if mounted inside the cage the bird can destroy the stopper and bottle.
If the tube is too wide to fit through bars of cage, cut out or spread cage wires apart for the tube opening.
There are 5 parts to the holder:
a. Holder backstrap
b. Locking bracket with wire clamp
c. Pedestal Mount
d. Mounting Washers (3 ea)
e. Screw and Locking nut (2 ea)
Place a screw through the top hole of backstrap, through the locking bracket, and place against the cage. Caution: Make sure the locking bracket is mounted with the cutout notches facing downward. When correctly mounted the wire should stop horizontally when lifted with one finger. Place against cage and put the screw through a mounting washer on inside of the cage. Turn a locking nut onto screw, you will only be able to hand tighten a few turns. A screw driver and wrench or pliers are needed to completely tighten the nut. This is to protect your pet so the nut can't be removed.
Attach the mounting pedestal to the bottom slot of backstrap, the two holes will line up. Put the screw through the holes of the backstrap and pedestal, put a washer behind the backstrap before putting against the cage, and put screw through it. Put the last washer on inside of cage and run the screw through it, apply last locking nut and tighten with screw driver and wrench.
You can reverse the direction of screws/nuts if you do not want the nuts inside of the cage. For safety you may want to cut off the mounting screws flush with the lock nut with hacksaw or nippers.
To lift the wire bail to put bottle in holder or to remove it, press inwards on both sides of the bail wire near the cut-out notches and lift up. The locking tabs can be bent inward or outward with pliers to increase or decrease the locking action. Remember if it is too easy to lift the wire your bird may also do so and drop his bottle out of the holder, especially birds that are allowed to roam outside of their cages.

Important: When converting your bird from a water bowl to a water bottle, be sure to monitor the bird's daily water consumption and do not remove the water bowl until you are sure your bird is drinking from the bottle.
