Anthelmintics: Name given to the various deworming medications used to control equine internal parasites.

Ascarids: A type of equine intestinal parasite, also known as roundworms.

Bots: A type of stomach parasite. Bots are the larvae of hairy, bee-like flies of the genus Gasterophilus. The flies deposit eggs on the hair shaft of the forelegs and chest of the horse and look like yellowish dots; the eggs are swallowed and develop into bots.

Helminths: Parasitic worms.

Roundworms: Common name for ascarids, an intestinal equine parasite.

Strongyles: Equine internal parasite, also known as bloodworms.

Tapeworms: A Type of internal equine parasite.
