Brian Schafer Brian Schafer, RPh, Chief Pharmacist
Brian graduated from North Dakota State University in 1985, at which time he joined the United States Public Health Service where he worked with the Indian Health Service for twenty years. As the Chief Pharmacist at Drs. Foster and Smith, Brian will be happy to talk to you about your pet's health or how to improve the services we provide. Brian enjoys spending time outdoors with his two Golden Retrievers and appreciates how pets enhance your life.

Len Cohen Len Cohen, RPh
Len graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS degree in Pharmacy in 1973. His practice in the retail pharmacy environment includes owning and operating a local independent pharmacy, serving as the Director of Pharmacy for a Central Wisconsin grocery distributor, and numerous years of employment with a large nationwide pharmacy chain.

Deb FreitagDebra Freitag, RPh
Deb graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. She has practiced in hospital, long-term care, and retail settings. Deb has always loved pets as part of her family. She currently has two cats and recently adopted a 9-year-old Golden Retriever. She believes pets have a positive influence in our lives. She looks forward to supporting the health and well-being of your pets.

Rick Howe Rick Howe, RPh
Rick graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He has many years of pharmacy experience, including hospital, clinical, and retail settings. Rick was raised on a dairy farm and realizes the importance of overall animal health. He enjoys the companionship of two standard poodles, which of course are part of the family. He would be happy to help you promote the health and well-being of your beloved pets.

Doug Kennedy Doug Kennedy, RPh
Doug graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1978. He has 32 years of experience in retail and long-term care pharmacy. Doug enjoys the companionship of a Boston Terrier and looks forward to helping you with your pet-care needs.

Sue Sharrow Sue Sharrow, RPh
Sue graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. She has since practiced in clinic, independent and chain retail pharmacies. Sue grew up with pets in her family and currently counts 2 cats and 2 dogs as family members. She believes that pets help keep humans healthy. Sue looks forward to helping you maintain the health of your pet family members.

John Sheldon John Sheldon, RPh
John graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center School of Pharmacy in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. His career has primarily been in retail pharmacy with experience also in clinical, institutional and long-term care. His family includes a Finnish Spitz.

Dave Sorenson Dave Sorenson, RPh
Dave earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin in 1983. He has since practiced in a variety of settings including clinic, community and large chain pharmacies. Dave has always had pets as a part of his family and knows the importance they have in our lives. He looks forward to helping others maintain the health and well-being of their pets.

Jenny Darton Jenny Darton, Pharm D
Jenny graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2003 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She has since practiced in community, clinic, and long-term care pharmacy settings. Jenny grew up with family pets and appreciates the beneficial effects they have on our lives. She looks forward to supporting the health of your pets.

Kathy Dugger Kathy Dugger, Pharm D
Kathy graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific, California, in 1998. She has practiced in community, pharmacy benefit management and long-term care settings prior to working with Drs. Foster and Smith. Although she adores and is committed to the welfare of all animals, she holds a special interest for canines. Participating in dog events has become much more than just a hobby for her and she appreciates the relationship you have with your own pets. Kathy shares her life with her family and her lovely Bernese Mountain Dogs.


Certified Pharmacy Technicians

Kristy Raith Kristy Raith, CVT, CPhT
Kristy graduated from Madison Area Technical College in 1990 with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology. Before joining Drs. Foster & Smith, she worked at various veterinary hospitals as a certified veterinary technician. Kristy received her Pharmacy Technician Certification in 2007.

Beth Leaslie Elizabeth Leslie, CPhT
Elizabeth became a member of the Drs. Foster and Smith team as a call center agent in 2007. She joined the pharmacy department in 2009, and obtained her Pharmacy Technician Certification in July 2011. Elizabeth's free time is spent with her family, including her two cats, Bijou and Johnny.

Jacky Maier Jacky Maier, CPhT
Jacky became a member of the Drs. Foster and Smith team in 2008 as a call center agent after relocating to Wisconsin from Virginia. After a short time she joined our Pharmacy staff and obtained her Pharmacy Technician Certification in June 2010. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family which includes a sassy cat, a beagle, and a rambunctious min pin.

Patti Saal Patricia Saal, CPhT
Patricia became a member of the Foster and Smith team in 2004. She started in the Call Center and joined the pharmacy staff in 2006. Patricia became a certified Pharmacy Technician in April of 2011. In her free time she enjoys crafting, road trips and outdoor activities with her family. The family has a collie named Sunny and many pet birds.

Karen Stoltman Karen Stoltman, CPhT
Karen received her Pharmacy Technician Certification in November, 2008. After relocating to the Northwoods from the Chicago suburbs, Karen Stoltman joined the Drs. Foster and Smith Call Center in December 2003. Her experience as a phone agent honed her customer service and problem solving skills until in 2006 she became a member of the Pharmacy Department. Karen currently assists in many areas of the Pharmacy.

Ellen Werner Ellen Werner, CPhT
Ellen has been a member of the Foster and Smith staff since 2003. She received her Pharmacy Technician Certification in 2006. Her free time is spent with family, including two canines, Squirt and Chester, and one feline, Kritter.
